Plot

In the heart of London, amidst a backdrop of political triumph, Janet, an ambitious British opposition politician, achieves a coveted position as a Shadow Minister for Health. This milestone, potentially the gateway to party leadership, calls for a celebration. Thus, she ushers her friends into her London flat, morphing it into a stage for an elegant, intimate soirée. Among the guests is her husband, Bill, an academic who prefers simplicity over the glitz of political life. As the evening unfurls, the guest list reveals a vibrant tapestry of personalities: April, Janet's American confidante, armed with an arsenal of cynicism; Gottfried, April's German husband, a stark contrast to his wife; Jinny and Martha; and Tom, the impeccable banker who bears the charm of his profession. Together, they form a unique assemble of elite, each with their own stories to tell and secrets to hide. However, as the party progresses, the air of jubilation is slowly infiltrated by the bitter taste of unspoken truths. The red wine, initially a symbol of smooth celebration, becomes a mirror reflecting the underlying tensions. Before the dinner bell rings, the once cheerful atmosphere shatters, giving way to a domestic battlefield where festering secrets come to light. The party becomes a war-zone, where every revelation is a declaration of war, every confrontation, a battle. As the night descends into chaos, the party morphs into a pivotal turning point in their lives. For, after the last glass is drained and the final secret revealed, they all must face a new dawn where things will never be the same again. Will the party end in celebration or devastation? This is a night that promises to be unforgettable - for the host, the guests, and perhaps, even for the secrets themselves.
