Plot

In the dawn of the atomic age, the government establishes the Office of Scientific Investigation (OSI), a covert team of experts known as the A-Men, with 'A' symbolizing the Atom they tirelessly seek to comprehend. The A-Men, including the diligent agent Jeffrey Stewart and his steadfast partner Dan Forbes, are thrust into a peculiar mystery when a local hardware store inexplicably becomes a hotbed of intense magnetism, turning every metal item into a magnetic marvel. Their probing investigation leads them to a dying scientist, Howard Denker, aboard a commercial flight. In his possession, a new radioactive element, ominously christened 'serranium'. This element, subjected to a relentless bombardment of alpha particles for two hundred grueling hours, has the chilling ability to grow geometrically. It creates matter from the energy it voraciously absorbs from nearby metallic objects. Stewart, armed with his scientific acumen, calculates a disastrous prediction. If the serranium is not neutralized soon, within a mere 24 hours, it will have grown to a terrifying size, large enough to catapult Earth out of its comfortable orbit. The A-Men are faced with a monumental task. They must find a way to halt the serranium's relentless growth, or risk the annihilation of Earth. Embroiled in a race against time, their quest becomes a thrilling journey of discovery and survival. "The Magnetic Monster" thus becomes a gripping exploration of atomic power, human resilience, and the daunting responsibility that comes with scientific advancement.
