Plot

In the quiet heartland of Iowa, five ideologically liberal roommates, Jude, Luke, Marc, Paulie, and Pete, are cultivated grad students at a local university. Each Sunday under the shelter of their shared abode, they host a feast of intellect, inviting friends to engage in enlightening discussions on topics that pique their interest. These gatherings, however, are slated for a grim transformation on a tempestuous night when fate brings a neo-Nazi, Zachary Cody, to their doorstep. Pete, initially meant to introduce a new friend to the group, returns home instead with Zach, a stranger who assisted him when his car broke down in the cruel weather. Inviting Zach to join their sacred Sunday dinner in place of the absent guest, they soon realize his deeply ingrained racism, a threatening presence for Jewish Marc and African-American Luke. The evening spirals into a chilling climax when Marc, driven by fear and self-defense, ends up killing Zach. The aftermath of this unforeseen event compels the roommates to view their actions as a service to society rather than a crime. They begin to contemplate a sinister proposition: to extend their dinner invitations to ultra-conservatives with similarly dangerous views, serving not only food but also lethal justice. As they execute their macabre plan through a series of dinners, they believe they've struck gold with the influential ultra-conservative broadcaster, Norman Arbuthnot. However, as their deadly feasts continue, discord begins to brew among the friends, who find themselves at odds over the morality of their actions. Simultaneously, the looming presence of Sheriff Alice Stanley, who is investigating a missing girl case, threatens to uncover their secret. The once harmonious Sunday dinners evolve into a perilous game of moral judgment and survival, as their flirtation with vigilante justice teeters on the brink of exposure.
