In the glitzy world of Las Vegas, wealthy investment broker Lloyd Rollins insists on a detour during a trip from Boston with his wife, Linda, a former lounge singer in the city of sin. As the bright lights flicker, Rollins plunges into a whirlpool of high-stakes gambling. Simultaneously, Linda ventures into her past at the Last Chance, a casino echoing with her melodies, where she crosses paths with her old flame, police lieutenant Dave Andrews.
Unbeknownst to them, this reunion triggers a chain of events leading to a deadly game of chance. Enter Tom Hubler, an insurance investigator with a keen interest in Linda's valuable necklace, oblivious to the fact that Rollins had pawned it to Clayton, the owner of the Last Chance.
When Clayton is found brutally murdered, Andrews, spurned by Linda, finds himself embroiled in a web of deceit, greed, and murder. His deductive prowess leads him to the identity of the killer, but the dice is cast when he discovers that Linda has been taken hostage. The city that never sleeps becomes the backdrop for a deadly chase through its neon wilderness, culminating in a heart-stopping pursuit of cars and helicopters across the barren desert.
