The Lady in the Van (2015)

This film is based on the true story of a relationship between a London playwright and a homeless lady who parks her van in his driveway. The playwright allows her to park in his driveway for a few days, but she ends up staying for 15 years. As a bond develops. He realizes knew her decades ago as an accomplished pianist, but her life’s adventures, including trying to become a nun, being incarcerated by her brother in an institution, escaping and living in fear because of an accident with a motorcycle eventually brought her to homelessness and living out of a van.
