The Kid from Spain (1932)

Eddie, a college prankster, and his Mexican sidekick Ricardo, find themselves expelled from school after a drunken escapade lands Eddie in the girl's dormitory. A twist of fate ensnares Eddie in a bank heist, and he's coerced into being the getaway driver. To evade him, the robbers send him across the border to Mexico, with a relentless cop hot on his trail. In Mexico, Eddie reunites with Ricardo who ingeniously introduces him as Don Sebastian II, a famed Spanish bullfighter, to divert the law. Unfortunately, their problems multiply as the suspicious cop has tickets to the bullfight and is keen to see the renowned matador in action. As Eddie grapples with his new bullfighting persona, he embarks on a mission to help Ricardo win the heart of his lady love. But there's a hitch: she's betrothed to a seemingly noble Mexican, who is secretly entangled in illicit affairs and unbeknownst to her father. In a whirlwind of events, Eddie finds himself falling for Rosalie, the sister of Ricardo's girlfriend, who is also eager to witness the brave Don Sebastian II in the bullring. Navigating romantic entanglements, criminal accusations, and a looming bullfight, Eddie is thrust into a chaotic adventure in the heart of Mexico.
