When the greenhorn Dr. Garondet receives an urgent summons from Professor Orloff, he finds the villagers around the professor's castle quaking in fear, too terrified to approach the ominous abode. Undeterred by their dread, the resolute doctor navigates his way to the castle, only to be directed by the servants towards the enigmatic Cécile Orloff, the professor's daughter. Cécile's worry-laden eyes mirror her concerns for her father's dwindling mental stability. In the chilling halls of the castle, Dr. Garondet comes face to face with Professor Orloff, who precipitates into a disturbing tale of an invisible man, a past experiment gone awry, and the consequential damage to his daughter's sanity. As the night unfurls within the castle’s foreboding walls, Dr. Garondet is forced to confront an unsettling reality - the identity of the true madman.
