Set against the backdrop of Leicester in 1972, "The Girl with Brains in Her Feet" introduces us to Jacqueline, a thirteen-year-old prodigious athlete grappling with the complex dance of adolescence, the upcoming biggest test of her athletic prowess, and the chaos of her personal life. Jacqueline's mother, Vivienne, is a neurotic woman caught in a tumultuous relationship with her new beau, Vic.
