Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015)

High school senior Greg and his best friend Earl spend almost all of their time shooting remakes of classic films. Worrying about the antisocial nature of her son, Greg's mother encourages him to hang out with his classmate Rachel. Rachel has been diagnosed with leukemia, and the two were once friends in Hebrew school but have since fallen out of touch. An unexpected bond forms between them, and Rachel becomes involved in the film making projects of Earl and Greg. But just as Greg is beginning to come out of his shell he'll have to contend with Rachel's cancer taking a turn for the worst.
