Lisbeth Salander's quest to take down a powerful conspiracy has hit a snag — she's in police custody for attempted murder, and she's in critical care after taking a bullet to the skull. The same conspiracy that she's been hunting would prefer that she spends the rest of her life locked up, and that means that her partner Mikael will be investigating largely on his own. He's dedicated a special issue of his magazine Millenium to her finding her justice, but he understands that won't be enough. He's going to have to track down the men who are setting her up personally.
