Plot

In the heart of Vienna, the charismatic yet arrogantly self-obsessed actor, Herman Brandt, resides in the same apartment complex as the Pointer family - John, Carola, and their blooming 18-year-old daughter, Mariette. One fateful day, Brandt audaciously propositions Carola during a routine dog walk, suggesting a clandestine rendezvous at his apartment. Shocked and repulsed by his blatant insolence, Carola reports Brandt to their building manager, sparking a heated eviction threat against the actor, which he fiercely rebuffs. Left with no other option, the Pointers resolve to vacate their home to escape the actor's overbearing presence. However, amidst their packing, they are abruptly interrupted by the arrival of the police bearing grim news - Brandt has been gruesomely murdered, a bullet found lodged in his skull. Given their publicized dispute with Brandt, the Pointers find themselves as prime suspects in the actor's untimely demise. Inspector Muller, the seasoned detective assigned to this chilling homicide, soon realizes that beneath the surface of this seemingly straightforward case, lies a labyrinth of secrets and deceit that challenges his every investigative instinct.
