In the heart of Thuringia, Germany, in the early 20th century, nestled amidst foreboding forests and melancholy lakes, sits a secluded college - Laughing Water, or as it's more mysteriously known, Mine Ha-Ha. This enigmatic institution, derived from Frank Wedekind's compelling work, "Mine-Haha or Physical Education of Young Girls," is home to a cohort of young girls, including the curious Hidalla and her companions Irene, Vera, Blanka, Melusine, and Rain.
