Plot

In the throes of 1961, the world watches with bated breath as former Nazi Adolf Eichmann, the infamous overseer of countless Jewish deaths, is captured and brought to trial. Amid the tension, American television producer Milton Fruchtman, a man fueled by fervent conviction, sees an opportunity to expose the horrors of the Holocaust to the world. Joining forces with Leo Hurwitz, a blacklisted director with a knack for hard-hitting documentaries, Fruchtman sets out to televise the trial in an unprecedented move. Their mission, however, is not without its share of obstacles. From death threats and uncooperative networks, to resistance from none other than the Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion himself, who fears the spectacle might morph into a 'show trial', the duo faces an uphill battle. Yet, driven by a shared vision of combating the resurgence of Nazism, they persist against the odds. In a daring feat of real-time storytelling, they maneuver their cameras into the courtroom, creating a raw and unfiltered window into the proceedings. The result is the 'Eichmann Show', a groundbreaking television documentary that is edited daily and broadcasted across three dozen countries. The film, a gripping dramatization of the team behind this historical endeavor, brings to life their tireless efforts to ensure that the world never forgets the evils of the Holocaust. Their story is a compelling testament to the power of media in shaping collective memory and consciousness.
