The Demented (2013)

In the sultry backdrop of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, an idyllic vacation morphs into a living nightmare. Taylor, David, and their close friends Brice and Naomi set out for a tranquil retreat to the familial homestead of their friends, Sharley and Howard. Their peaceful respite shatters when a missile detonation rattles the nearby landscape, signaling the start of a biological terrorist attack on American soil. Suddenly, an aggressive dog appears, turning their sanctuary into a siege. They barricade themselves in, hoping for the safety of dawn. The next day, the relentless canine meets a grim end at Brice's hands, prompting David to transport the deceased creature to the CDC. This decision unveils a horrifying revelation: the local population has been transformed into relentless, flesh-hungry zombies. Besieged by the undead, the friends must navigate this horrific new world, battling for survival against the relentless onslaught of the undead. As they grapple with their terrifying reality, one looming question remains: can they outlast the zombie apocalypse?
