The Dawn Express (1942)

In the throes of World War II, a dangerous Nazi spy ring has its sights set on a revolutionary chemical formula. This coveted formula promises to amplify the power of ordinary gasoline, transforming it into a formidable fuel for the U.S. Army's aviation fleet. To ensure maximum security, the formula is split, with two different U.S. chemical companies each developing a half. The spies, with their cunning strategies and lethal determination, manage to seize one half of the formula. They know that the remaining part resides with one of two brilliant chemists - Robert Norton (Michael Wilding) or Tom Fielding (William Bakewell). In a devious plot involving gang member Linda Pavlo (Constance Worth), they ensnare Fielding, threatening to harm his beloved sister Nancy (Anne Nagel) and their mother, unless he yields the remaining part of the formula. With his friend's life and the safety of his country in jeopardy, Tom steps into a high-stakes game of deception and courage. Pretending to possess the elusive secret, he boards the Dawn Express plane, ready to confront the ruthless spy leader and his gang. The journey that ensues is filled with tension, suspense, and a relentless pursuit of justice.
