As the omnipresent fog of London engulfs its labyrinthine streets, a sinister plot unfolds beneath its shroud. Mysterious accidents start claiming the lives of single men with no family ties, their only connection being an insurance policy issued by the enigmatic Dr. Feodor Orloff. Scotland Yard's tenacious Detective Inspector Larry Holt is tasked to unravel this macabre puzzle, his suspicions aroused by the repetitive nature of these so-called accidents.
