Plot

In the grandeur of 280 BC, the island of Rhodes celebrates the completion of their gargantuan Colossus of Apollo, a towering monument intended to guard the harbor. During this time, Darios, a valorous Greek military hero, ventures to Rhodes to visit his uncle. His arrival coincides with the island's clandestine plan to form an alliance with Phoenicia, a move that threatens the stability of Greece. Amidst the political turmoil, Darios finds himself entranced by the radiant Diala, the daughter of the mastermind behind the colossal statue. As the undercurrents of rebellion begin to surge, Darios gets entangled with two intriguing plots to dethrone the despotic King Serse. One plot is hatched by the Rhodian patriots, led by the daring Peliocles, while the other is orchestrated by the malignant Phoenician agents, whose loyalties lie with Serse's malevolent second-in-command, Thar. The rebellion appears to crumble when Peliocles and his brave men are captured, their fate to serve as mere entertainment in the brutal local arena. However, fate has yet to play its final hand. A cataclysmic earthquake shakes not only the mighty Colossus standing sentinel in the harbor, but also the very foundations of power in Rhodes. In the midst of chaos and looming shadows of treachery, Darios' courage and the destiny of Rhodes become intertwined, setting the stage for an epic struggle where alliances are tested and heroes are forged.
