In the northern reaches of Spain, Bilbao, Gabriel leads a contented life as an Assistant District Attorney, his world revolving around his beloved work and wife, Patricia. His world, however, is sent into a tailspin when he receives an ominous call, informing him of his estranged younger sister, Cordelia's alleged demise. The tragic event is no ordinary death; she is believed to be a part of a cult residing in the enchanting island of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where a mass suicide has taken place. The eerie image of cult members leaping from a cliff, embracing the ocean's fatal embrace, is the last known memory of Cordelia. Compelled by a mix of grief and determination, Gabriel ventures to the island. There, he encounters Helena, a friend and past housemate of Cordelia, as they both find themselves tasked with the gruesome duty of identifying the only unrecognizable corpse from the macabre event. As they scrutinize the body, a flicker of hope ignites when they realize that Cordelia might not be among the deceased. While waiting for news from Inspector Santana, a determined officer deeply involved in the investigation due to a missing undercover cop, Gabriel and Helena find their patience waning. Against the looming specter of danger, they decide to take matters into their own hands, delving into the enigmatic world of the cult to unravel the mystery behind the mass suicide. Their desperate search not only seeks to reveal the sinister truth behind the cult's motives, but also harbors the faint hope that Cordelia may still be alive.
