In the heartland of British Columbia, dreams of prosperity beckon Jim Redfern, a man fueled by ambition and the desire to own his own cattle ranch. Alongside his partners, the steadfast Mike Evans and loyal Ling, they embark on the legendary Cariboo Trail. Their journey takes them into the epicenter of a gold rush, where the allure of untold riches has ensnared many, including the tenacious prospector, Grizzly Winters.
