Plot

Dominic is a man of two worlds, splitting his time between the humble family bakery in a bustling Italian district of Pittsburgh, where he crafts delicious biscotti under the cloak of night, and the cold corporate landscape downtown where he serves as a ruthless negotiator of mergers, specializing in the art of termination. His life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers that Bella, the beloved elderly neighbor and cherished friend of his family, has only a few months left to live. Bella, a woman of modest means, has spent a lifetime squirreling away money in coffee cans for one dream - her daughter, Lucca's wedding. Lucca, however, is a free spirit, traversing foreign lands as a Peace Corps volunteer, far removed from the need for a husband. In an attempt to realize Bella's dying wish, Dominic makes a solemn vow to not only bring Lucca back home but also persuade her to become his bride. The question that looms large - what will Lucca's response be? This compelling tale is a journey of promises, love, and the lengths one man is willing to go to fulfill a dying woman's dream.
