Plot

In the heart of an otherwise quiet Italian town, a powerful criminal gang casts a shadow of terror, extorting protection money from the local merchants. Standing up against this reign of fear is Inspector Nico Palmieri, a tough-as-nails lawman with a relentless spirit. His pursuit of justice, however, takes a sinister turn when he falls into the hands of the ruthless racketeers, leaving him gravely injured. Emerging from the hospital, Palmieri finds himself in a world where the merchants cower in fear, and the law appears powerless. The only hope lies in finding a brave soul willing to testify against the gangsters in court. The task falls on Luigi Giulti, a resilient restaurant owner, but the price of courage is steep. His daughter endures an unspeakable atrocity at the hands of the gang and, in her despair, takes her own life. Frustrated and fueled by vengeance, Palmieri rejects the pressure from his superiors to abandon the case. Teaming up with his friend Pepe, he embraces unconventional and even illegal tactics, believing that the ends justify the means in this escalating war against crime. A war that not only costs Palmieri his career but also engulfs the town in a tragic storm of violence. Undeterred, Palmieri assembles an unlikely band of vigilantes: Luigi, a nightclub owner maimed by the gangsters, a sharpshooter haunted by the sight of his wife's brutal end, and a felon seeking both a passport and the annihilation of the gang. United by their thirst for vengeance, they wage a blood-soaked battle against the criminals, igniting a showdown that will either cleanse the town of its fears or drown it in a sea of chaos. In 'The Big Racket', justice isn't served in a courtroom, but on the unforgiving streets of a town pushed too far.
