Plot

Welcome to the whirlwind world of St. Trinian's, the notorious School for Young Ladies, where the hellcat students engage in a perpetual battle against authority. Inspired by Ronald Searle's iconic cartoons, the film plunges us into the school's chaotic universe. Forever teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, the institution sees a glimmer of hope with the arrival of Princess Fatima, daughter of an Arab sheik, armed with a hefty pocket money. However, the princess isn't just there to study; she has a secret mission from her father involving Arab Boy, the sheik's racehorse, and the upcoming Gold Cup. Horse betting and crime are rife, and the princess finds herself entangled in the ensuing drama. As the race day nears, the school becomes a hotbed of conspiracies. Everyone has an agenda, whether it's to back the horse, sabotage it, or rescue it from the growing chaos. The notorious schoolgirls pit their wits against headmistress Millicent and her bookie brother, Clarence Fitton, who's intent on using his daughter to monitor the horse's progress. The local Barchester police, struggling to keep up, resort to planting their sergeant, Ruby Gates, as a teacher within the school's anarchic walls. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education, still reeling from the mysterious disappearance of their previous two inspectors, prepares to send a third into the pandemonium. In this captivating tale of mischief and mayhem, the feisty schoolgirls of St. Trinian's defy all odds, clash with various authority figures, and still find time for their own internal squabbles. The Belles of St. Trinian's is a raucous romp that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
