Plot

In the heart of the 1940s, young and wide-eyed Susan Turner finds herself irresistibly drawn to the suave charm and raw talent of Richard Nugent, a seasoned artist with an alluring aura of playfulness. Caught up in an infatuation that transcends her tender years, Susan daringly infiltrates Richard's private sanctuary, his artist's loft, to model for him in a whirlwind of adolescent whimsy. However, this clandestine escapade doesn't go unnoticed. Susan's sister, the stern and formidable Judge Margaret Turner, stumbles upon the unusual tableau. Her sharp intellect instantly perceives the dangers of a teenage girl's infatuation with a man well into his forties, and she resolves to nip this budding romance in the bud. With the law on her side, and a keen sense of morality driving her, Margaret presents Richard with an ultimatum. He can either face the harsh reality of jail or agree to a week of nocturnal adventures with Susan, in hopes of cooling her fervor. Richard, caught between a rock and a hard place, chooses the latter, igniting a string of comedic and poignant moments that test his patience and wit. The charismatic artist counters Susan's feigned sophistication with an exaggerated display of teenage antics, creating a tapestry of humor and comic relief. As the week unfolds, the duo navigates through a slapstick climax, weaving a tale that intertwines the complexities of age, affection, and the power of persuasion. The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer paints a vivid picture of an unconventional courtship, where the stakes are high, and the hearts are wild.
