In the heart of Paris, a city synonymous with love, unfolds the intricate tapestry of The Art of Love (L'art d'aimer). A series of interconnected tales of passion, desire, and longing fill the air, all narrating the diverse lives of several couples. Isabelle (Julie Depardieu), untouched for a year, rebuffs the unconventional proposition from her friend Zoé (Pascale Arbillot) to share her husband. Instead, she finds herself in the curious situation of posing as Amélie (Judith Godrèche), a friend too timid to engage in intimacy with her companion, Boris (Laurent Stocker).
Simultaneously, the solitary Achille (François Cluzet) believes his dreams have materialized when his striking new neighbor (Frédérique Bel), adorned in a seductive negligee, appears at his doorstep, hinting at a clandestine affair. In a contrasting tale, Emmanuelle (Ariane Ascaride), part of a middle-aged couple, grapples with an unexpected surge of lust for every appealing man she encounters, shaking the foundations of her marriage. And then, there are the young lovers (Elodie Navarre and Gaspard Ulliel), their blissful bubble burst by the sharp sting of jealousy.
