Plot

In the shadow of a community gripped by the unforgiving tendrils of narcotic abuse, 'Tell Your Children' unfolds a harrowing tale of innocence lost and lives shattered. The film serves as a stark warning, embodying the fears of the authorities struggling to control the rampant spread of marijuana, a drug growing wild and wreaking havoc with its potential to induce insanity and dangerous behavior. At the heart of this societal maelstrom is Dr. Alfred Carroll, a high school principal deeply disturbed by the impact of this insidious menace on his students. His story is told in a gripping narrative to concerned parents at a PTA meeting, painting a chilling picture of a reality they are blissfully unaware of. The narrative pivots around the malevolent duo, Jack Perry and Mae Coleman, who are instrumental in the distribution of marijuana. Mae, preferring to corrupt adults, and Jack, with a sinister ease in ensnaring unsuspecting teenagers, host intoxicating parties for their elusive boss. They are the puppeteers in a dangerous game, luring the unsuspecting high school kids into their den of iniquity, Mae's apartment. Among the innocents caught in their web are high school sweethearts, Bill Harper and Mary Lane. Unaware of the sinister undercurrents, they are drawn into the precarious world of Mae's apartment, entwined with their social circle that includes Mary's brother, Jimmy Lane. What follows is a cascade of tragic events, all spawned from the deadly embrace of marijuana. Lives, both of the guilty and the innocent, are irrevocably altered by this scourge. One man's addiction spirals out of control, leading to a guilt-ridden mental breakdown over a framed murder, resulting in a lifetime sentence in a mental institution. As Dr. Carroll concludes his disturbing tale, he leaves his audience with a somber warning - to steer clear of this life-altering tragedy, the scourge that is marijuana. 'Tell Your Children' is a riveting exploration of a community's descent into the abyss of drug abuse, and the urgent plea for awareness and prevention.
