Set against the vibrant backdrop of Madrid, the pulsating heart of Spain, we meet León Lafuente, a grumpy taxi driver teetering on the brink of financial ruin. His mounting debts threaten the loss of his cab and home, where he resides with his wife Rosario, a hairstylist whose salon is on the verge of closure due to the burgeoning nightlife scene nearby. As Rosario prepares to welcome their first child into the world, León's life seems to be spiraling further into chaos. Just as León believes his life couldn't get any worse, he crosses paths with his latest taxi fare, Diego Manfredi, an Argentinian lawyer fresh out of prison after a fraud conviction. Penniless and desperate, Diego implores León to take him to see Alicia, his estranged ex-wife, in the hopes of mending their fractured relationship. When Alicia refuses to assist Diego, he finds himself unable to pay for his taxi fare. In a desperate bid, Diego proposes a risky venture to León: a daunting 660-kilometer journey to the Rock of Gibraltar, with the promise of a hefty payout. Despite his reservations, the lure of a potential financial windfall leads León to embark on this tumultuous odyssey. Along the way, they stumble upon Sandra Sánchez, a runaway bride in a pink wig, fleeing from a humdrum life and a lukewarm fiancé, José Manuel.
