Under the soaring arches of academia, the campus of Custer College hums with vibrant energy, its fame secured by both its distinguished intellectual standing and the prowess of its celebrated boys' basketball team. Among the throng of eager young minds is June Ryder, a newcomer with a single, determined aim: to secure the title of Mrs. Ray Blent. Ray, the star player of the basketball team, isn't naturally agile but uses his intellect as a science major to master the game, his passion for basketball a mere offshoot of his insatiable love for learning. June's pursuit of Ray is unapologetically transparent to everyone—except Ray.
