In the legendary Chen Village, a place where every soul is a martial arts connoisseur, resides the outsider Lu Chan (Jayden Yuan). Notably recognised for his role in defending the town from a terrifying steam-powered menace, Lu Chan is still struggling to find his niche in this peculiar world. Chen-style Tai Chi, the town's sacred martial arts form, is a forbidden fruit to outsiders, yet Lu Chan's destiny is irrevocably tied to it. After his heroic act, Yuniang (Angelababy), the enchanting daughter of Grandmaster Chen (Tony Leung Ka-Fai), offers her hand in marriage to Lu Chan, drawing him into the family fold.
