In the vibrant world of dance and gambling, our story unfolds with Lucky Garnett, a gifted dancer with an unfortunate knack for ill-timed mischief. After a prank orchestrated by his fellow performers, Lucky finds himself missing his own wedding to the charming Margaret Watson. This act of irresponsibility prompts Margaret's father to call off the ceremony, leaving Lucky with a daunting challenge to prove his worth. Promising to amass a fortune of $25,000, Lucky embarks on a journey to New York, accompanied by his trusty friend and magician, Pop Cardetti.
