Plot

In the vibrant world of dance and gambling, our story unfolds with Lucky Garnett, a gifted dancer with an unfortunate knack for ill-timed mischief. After a prank orchestrated by his fellow performers, Lucky finds himself missing his own wedding to the charming Margaret Watson. This act of irresponsibility prompts Margaret's father to call off the ceremony, leaving Lucky with a daunting challenge to prove his worth. Promising to amass a fortune of $25,000, Lucky embarks on a journey to New York, accompanied by his trusty friend and magician, Pop Cardetti. Fate then stirs their path, leading them to the vivacious Penny Carroll, a dance instructor with a rhythm that matches their own. Lucky, drawn to her energy, follows her to the dance academy, and the two join forces, creating a dance duo that promises to light up the big city's stages. Their chemistry is electric, their performances mesmerizing, but the path to success is not without obstacles. Penny's former flame, the charismatic and possessive Ricky Romero, conductor of the orchestra, refuses to play for them. This does little to dampen the growing affection between Penny and Lucky, who finds himself winning big in the gambling world, and losing his heart to Penny. Faced with an unexpected twist, Lucky decides to stop gambling before he reaches his $25,000 goal. His heart now beats to a different rhythm, one that dances to Penny's tune. But when Margaret unexpectedly shows up at their performance, Lucky must make a critical choice. Torn between his past commitment to Margaret and his newfound love for Penny, Lucky dances on the precipice of a decision that could change the course of his life. In a world that swings between love, dance, and a promise, Lucky's time to choose is running out.
