Plot

In the heart of Swing Parade of 1946, a purely fictional world, we meet Carol Lawrence (Gale Storm), a passionate, aspiring songstress. She finds herself attracted to a fresh, vibrant night club, a brainchild of the spirited Danny Warren (Phil Regan). However, the establishment is a thorn in the side of Danny's father, Daniel Warren (Russell Hicks), a stalwart believer in traditional family business who vehemently disapproves of the club's very existence. Caught in the crosshairs of the father-son feud, Carol is mistaken for a legal envoy and unceremoniously ejected from the club. Fate, with its endless chain of coincidences, ushers her into the elder Warren's office. Seeing potential, he enlists her services as a process server to aid his cause against the club. But music is Carol's true calling, and upon her return to the club, she finds herself behind a mic instead of serving legal papers. She abandons the cease-and-desist notice, choosing to tune into her dream. On this vibrant backdrop, The Three Stooges serve up comedic relief as waiters. The movie is a feast for music lovers, with Connee Boswell, Louis Jordan, Will Osborne, and Mary Treen, along with Gale Storm, lending their voices to a dazzling array of songs, including the charming "Oh, Buddy" and the uplifting "On the Sunny Side of the Street."
