Summer 2007 (2008)

Guided by the charm of 'beginner's luck', the ambitious Rahul Sharma, propelled by his three comrades from Mumbai's prestigious Kasturba Medical College - Qateel, Shomindu, and Priyanka, steps up to challenge the reigning Students' President, Prakash Dubey. However, their youthful enthusiasm takes a dark turn as mainstream political henchmen introduce a sinister element of threat and violence into the mix. Seeking a reprieve from the escalating tension, Rahul and his eclectic crew, with the addition of Vishaka, opt to serve in the Rural Medical Scheme for a month. They envision a blissful sojourn near Goa, filled with merriment and relaxation. But destiny has a cruel sense of humor, as they instead find themselves transported to a desolate and poverty-stricken Vidarbha village. The village, a grim tableau of despair, is haunted by the chilling echoes of familial suicides. Their lives become a pawn in the hands of the ominous Dr. Mukesh Jadhav, and the ruthless goons of Wagh who dominate this forsaken village. Bereft of any means of transportation and trapped in the midst of this dangerous game, their chances of making it back home dwindle with each passing day. This tale of survival and courage chronicles their desperate attempt to beat the odds and make it back to their familiar world.
