Strangerland (2015)

Catherine and Matthew Parker, relative newcomers to the isolated desert outpost of Nathgari in Australia, are suddenly thrown into a maelstrom of panic and fear when their two adolescent children, Tommy and Lily, inexplicably vanish on the eve of an impending, colossal dust storm. As Nathgari is swallowed up by a haunting veil of red dust and oppressive darkness, the community rallies to aid in the search, a mission spearheaded by the town's own constable, David Rae. As the hours turn into days, it ominously dawns upon them that a horrifying fate may have befallen Tommy and Lily. Whispers of suspicion mutate into rampant rumours, and the court of public opinion viciously turns against the beleaguered Parkers.
