Plot

Amidst the whirlwind world of showbiz, rumba dancer Carla de Hulvea seizes headlines by concocting a persona as a South American heiress. Her charade flourishes until she crosses paths with Peter Jackson, an audacious American promoter on a quest to secure funds for his film production. Not one to be outdone, Peter spins a web of high-stakes deception to coax Carla into backing his cinematic venture, a collaboration with his partner, Roy Harley. In a serendipitous twist, Roy becomes acquainted with the enchanting actress Diana West through Carla. Diana's allure lands her a role in the movie, and love sprouts between her and Roy. As Carla and Peter engage in a spirited dance of wits, a delightful tangle of events ensnares Roy, Diana, and the eccentric Otto Schultz. The tumultuous journey reaches its crescendo when their film, enriched by a groundbreaking color-process, secures a booking from a prominent theatre-circuit. This unexpected coup allows the independent production to settle its debts, culminating in a harmonious finale to their rollercoaster ride in the movie industry.
