Soul Kitchen (2009)

In the heart of Hamburg, Zinos runs a humble eatery dishing out comfort food for the common man. His existence, while simple, is far from calm. His love interest has relocated to Shanghai for work, a back injury restricts him from his culinary passion, and his unreliable brother is out of jail on the condition that Zinos employs him - a responsibility his brother is far from eager to take on. As if this wasn't enough, a former schoolmate is eyeing his restaurant property and the tax and health inspectors are relentlessly hounding him. In a desperate attempt to regain control, Zinos employs a volatile chef, causing his regular clientele to abandon ship. He even entrusts his brother with complete power over the restaurant and purchases a one-way ticket to Shanghai. Will Zinos' hasty decisions bring about an unexpected catastrophe or usher in a gust of fresh air to his Soul Kitchen?
