Plot

In the heart of London, amidst the hustle and bustle of King's Cross and Euston stations, the quaint district of Somers Town serves as the backdrop for a unique tale of friendship, rebellion, and young love. Here, two unlikely companions, both newcomers to the city, find their fates intertwined in the heat of a sizzling summer. Marek, a Polish lad of robust build, exudes an air of shyness and simplicity. He's the pride of his hardworking father, a construction worker laboriously crafting a new rail link. Despite the physical distance between them, Marek is his father's beacon of hope in their shared solitude. Meanwhile, Tomo, a diminutive brat with an insatiable spirit for mischief, has fled from Nottingham only to find himself homeless in the sprawling Metropolis. His quirky audacity and knack for pranks sharply contrast Marek's reserved demeanor, yet their mutual outsider status cements a bond between them. Their contrasting personalities become their strength as they navigate the world together. Marek, the protective older brother figure, and Tomo, the daring instigator, find common ground in the form of a shared infatuation. Both are smitten by the same girl, their summer days consumed by playful bickering over who loves her more. Fuelled by the generosity of his newfound friend, Tomo secretly takes refuge in Marek's room. But as the boys' camaraderie deepens and their shared secret teeters on discovery, they must face the imminent reality of a father's suspicion. In the midst of their adolescent adventures and the throbbing pulse of London's Somers Town, a unique and heartwarming tale of friendship, love, and resilience unfolds.
