In the heart of French Canada, Michael, a curious college student, embarks on a Christmas journey to reconnect with his girlfriend, Gabriella. However, the frosty welcome he receives is far from the warm reunion he envisioned. Gabriella, in her own maelishly mystifying way, declares her love for him has fizzled out. As Michael grapples with this bewildering revelation, he finds himself thrust into the labyrinth of Gabriella's peculiar family dynamics. Her father, a staunch atheist and a celebrated writer, has a penchant for wandering around their sprawling home in his birthday suit. Conversely, her mother, a fervent Catholic, possesses her own brand of quirks, creating a captivating contrast. The oddities don't stop there. A visit to their grandmother in a psychiatric institution takes an unexpected turn as the elderly woman, lost in the corridors of her mind, mistakes Michael for her long-deceased husband. Adding to the chaotic charm, Gabriella's sisters, seemingly intrigued by Michael, begin to express their interest in him, further complicating his already confounded state. When the grandmother manages a daring escape from the institution, it prompts a wild chase into the woods, pulling the entire family, including the dazed and confused Michael, into a whirlwind of absurd adventure. Amidst this comedic chaos, Michael attempts to unravel the enigma that is Gabriella's family while trying to salvage his own broken heart.
