In the vibrant music scene of East-Berlin, Solo Sunny centers around the life of Sunny, a band vocalist yearning for recognition. Her journey takes her through regular performances in quaint towns, but a growing sense of disconnect with the audience and her life begins to consume her. As she attempts to fill this void, she enters a romantic liaison with Ralph, an amateur saxophonist and self-proclaimed philosopher, who crafts a deeply personal melody for her. Yet, Ralph's morbid fascination with death and his unfaithful ways prove too much for Sunny. Her world spirals further out of control when a heated dispute with a bandmate, who relentlessly pesters her, and a confrontational episode with a show host, lead to her expulsion from the group. Left alone in the chaos, Sunny embarks on a daunting quest to reclaim control over her life, all poignantly depicted in this riveting tale of desire, disillusionment, and determination.
