Slip and Fall (2011)

Meet Danny Cumdumpstier (Sam Cohan), a struggling law student with a surname that's the butt of all jokes. He's living on a tilted camper in the wilderness, courtesy of his grandma's oversized satellite dish purchase. With deceased parents, a self-absorbed girlfriend, and a monetary drought that threatens his law school tuition and grandma's rent, Danny's life is a quagmire of misfortune. His pleas for a tuition waiver are rejected by the miserly Dean of his law school, thrusting him further into a whirlpool of troubles. Enter Jerry (William Forsythe), the school's janitor and Danny's pseudo-father figure, who moonlights as a maestro of deception, with "slip and fall" being his magnum opus. This ruse involves feigning injury, followed by a theatrical scream, and then suing anyone within accusing distance for compensation. Jerry proposes this risky gambit as Danny's golden ticket out of his predicament. Despite Danny's innocent and ethically conscious nature, his desperate circumstances drive him to embrace the deceit. He slips, he falls, and he unleashes a Wagnerian scream, yet the ER uncovers no trace of injury. Now, he's trapped in Jerry's world of hoax and conspiracy, where a sex-obsessed, bronzed lawyer, a chiropractor with a dubious online degree, and a shady physical therapy center form a fraudulent alliance. In this world of scamming and scheming, Danny discovers an unexpected spark with the lawyer's assistant, leading him to realize that love isn't always a game of pairs. But as Danny navigates this farcical labyrinth, it raises the question: what happens when a law student resorts to law-breaking on his own campus to fund his education? In the case of a Cumdumpstier, the answer is nothing short of uproarious chaos.
