Slices of Life (2010)

In the chilling anthology of Anthony G. Sumner's SLICES OF LIFE, a realm where Sexual Parasites, Zombies, Serial Killers, Demon Children, and Violent Vixens coalesce, the line between reality and delusion blurs. Our protagonist, Mira (Kaylee Williams), finds herself awakening in a grimy roadside motel, her memory a blank canvas. Her only clues to her identity lie within the pages of three mysterious sketchbooks, each a window into a different facet of life, each possibly a reflection of her own existence. In the realm of WORK LIFE, we delve into the mundane life of a low-ranking clerk at a nano-technology firm, whose unleashing of a lethal virus transforms the corporate headquarters into a breeding ground for the undead, redefining the term 'corporate zombie'. HOME LIFE takes a dark turn when local girls start vanishing, and a pregnant woman is plagued by horrifying visions of malevolent demon children with a sinister interest in her unborn child. Finally, SEX LIFE unveils the harrowing journey of a brother and sister, escaping from an abusive household, only to seek refuge in a Victorian manor where the true monsters are not just hiding, but actively seeking new inhabitants. As Mira starts to believe the characters from these sketchbooks are coming alive around the motel, her perception of reality starts to fracture. Is she losing her mind, or are these apparitions genuine? In desperation, she seeks help from the motel's enigmatic caretakers (Marv Blauvelt and Helene Alter-Dyche), only to unearth the spine-chilling truth bound within the flesh-covered books, and the ominous destiny they hold for her.
