In the humble village of Charkhi, Pakistan, nestled amidst the turmoil of political unrest, resides the widowed Ayesha Khan and her adolescent son, Saleem. Their life, as simple as the landscape that surrounds them, survives on the pension left by Ayesha's departed husband, Afsan.
