Plot
Shin Godzilla imagines what would happen if the legendary monster were first awakened in the modern day. A nuclear spill has led to the awakening of a fierce and giant lizard in the waters of the Tokyo Bay, but initial reports seem confident that the creature's massive weight ensure that it can't survive on land. These assumptions are soon proven wrong, however, and Godzilla is quickly stomping through Tokyo's streets destroying everything in his path. A full assault initially drives Godzilla back into the water, but the people of Tokyo can't resist. It will return soon, and they'll need a plan to take it out for good.
