In the foggy heart of 1930s England, the malevolent genius, Dr. Moriarty, is condemned to the gallows in the solemn halls of the Old Bailey. From his gloomy perch, he sends a chilling vow echoing through the courtroom: his prosecutor shall meet a hangman's noose before he does, and the illustrious Sherlock Holmes, along with the head of Scotland Yard, will follow suit.
Away from the city's shadows, the legendary detective Holmes prepares for a different life, nestled in the tranquil countryside, planning his wedding to his beloved. His future father-in-law, a respected banker, is eager to discuss arrangements, unaware of the chilling promise that threatens Holmes's tranquil dreams.
However, bleak news shatters the peaceful idyll - the prosecutor is found hanged, and the wily Dr. Moriarty has vanished from his supposedly inescapable fate. As Moriarty's dreadful oath begins to materialize, even the Atlantic provides no respite, for he brings a notorious American gangster into his global syndicate of master criminals, bending the rules of the period to his diabolical will.
With danger escalating and his retirement postponed, Holmes faces a grim race against time. The game is afoot once more, and the stakes have never been higher. As Moriarty's dark plot unfurls, Holmes must summon all his cunning and courage to protect those threatened by the vengeful doctor's noose and put an end to his far-reaching scheme.
