In the serene fishing village of Port Amanzi, South Africa, a crisis unfolds as the fish population dwindles, endangering the livelihood of the locals. Amidst this turmoil, marine biologist Steven McKray shoulders the task of solving the mystery behind the rapidly vanishing fish. His mission intensifies when his close friend and fellow researcher, Mark DeSantis, meets a deadly fate in the jaws of a crazed shark.
