In the quaint tranquillity of rural England, a life is abruptly claimed. A cyclist, the husband of Maggie, a humble housemaid, is ruthlessly struck down on a village lane by a rogue Range Rover. Amidst this tragedy, a successful London lawyer, James Manning finds himself entangled alongside his wife, Anne.
