Secondhand Lions (2003)

A shy boy sent to live with his great-uncles in Texas is forced to come out of his shell on account of their over-sized personalities alone. Walter's never had a stable home until the move, but he finds a sense of purpose in this new giant estate. But there's a sense of purpose that goes beyond the obvious. Walter is convinced that a huge treasure has been buried somewhere on the grounds, and the old men who live here know more than they're letting on. But in the back of his mind, Walter knows that his neglectful mother will come back for him soon.
