In the sleepy realm of monotony, Fletcher Munson finds himself a lackluster cog in the machine of Eventualism, a self-help empire in the vein of Scientology. His life takes an unexpected twist when a sudden death thrusts him into the spotlight, penning speeches for the enigmatic T. Azimuth Schwitters, the charismatic founder of the organization. This promotion, however, serves as a convenient veil, allowing him to distance himself from his wife, both emotionally and romantically. As Munson grapples with the responsibility of his newfound role, he uncovers a shocking truth: his wife's lover is none other than his doppelganger, the charming dentist Dr. Jeffrey Korchek.
