Plot

"Sarkar" is a pulsating political action drama that centers around Sundar Ramaswamy, a prodigious non-resident Indian businessman with an empire stretching across the United States. Drawn back to his roots in Chennai by the call of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, Sundar seeks to exercise his democratic right, only to encounter a shocking revelation that sends tremors through his life. He discovers that his vote, a symbol of his voice and freedom, has already been cast in his absence, hijacked by an unknown entity. Despite pleas to abandon this issue, Sundar's resolve hardens like a diamond under pressure. He embarks on a quest to reclaim his voting rights, delving deep into the labyrinth of Indian election law. It's here that he unearths Section 49P in The Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961 - a beacon of hope that empowers him to challenge the injustice. However, his victory is short-lived. The shadowy depths of the political arena hold more than a stolen vote. Sundar finds himself in the crosshairs of two ruthless politicians, their corruption woven into the very fabric of power. They launch relentless assaults on his life and reputation, seeking to obliterate his existence. But Sundar is not a man to be underestimated. As the stakes escalate, what unfolds is a gripping battle of wits and will, a testament to one man's undying courage in the face of overwhelming odds. "Sarkar" is a thrilling exploration of democracy's dark underbelly and one man's fight to restore his stolen rights.
