Sankat City (2009)

In the bustling heart of Mumbai, a fish-enthusiast named Guru leads an unusual life with a penchant for stealing cars. His illicit operations involve a tight-knit trio; Ganpat, a garage owner with a knack for refurbishing stolen vehicles, and Sharafat, a savvy middle-man who can sell ice to an Eskimo. Their lives take an unexpected detour when Guru pilfers a gleaming Mercedes packed with a fortune of Rs.1 Crore. Overwhelmed by the surprise windfall, they decide to upgrade their humble lives, unknowingly stepping into a whirlpool of trouble. As Ganpat breathes new life into the stolen vehicle, Sharafat finds a buyer in Suleman. However, an unfortunate twist of fate brings the car to the attention of its original owner, Fauzdaar, a merciless gangster and notorious moneylender. A brutal interrogation leads them to Guru, who promises to return the stashed cash. But fate has other plans. Ganpat, the guardian of the hidden fortune, suffers a catastrophic accident, which wipes his memory clean. As the city trembles with the fear of an impending meteor crash, a livid Fauzdaar gives Guru a chilling three-day ultimatum to recover the money. In this race against time, Guru must navigate through a labyrinth of memory loss, impending doom, and an unyielding gangster, to save himself and his friends from the wrath of Fauzdaar.
