In the parched heart of a rural village, a minor squabble escalates into a deadly feud that claims the life of Pechi's husband. Amidst the escalating tension, Durai, a respected elder, courageously shields the final offender from Pechi's wrath, having witnessed the others fall victim to the bitter dispute. Upon the return of Durai's son, Balu, to the village, a new chapter unfolds in this tale steeped in tradition and rivalry. Under Durai's leadership, the villagers unite for a vibrant festival at the local temple, a celebration not just for the community's spirit but an appeal to the government for a dam project to quench the drought-ravaged village.
