Plot

Running Out of Time is a riveting cat-and-mouse thriller set against the vibrant backdrop of bustling Hong Kong. The plot plunges us into the life-or-death countdown of Wah, a man who learns he has only four weeks left to live. Instead of succumbing to despair, Wah channels his fearlessness into a relentless quest for vengeance against the organized crime syndicates responsible for his father's death. On the other side of the law, we meet Ho Sheung-Sang, a seasoned police inspector renowned for his exceptional hostage negotiation skills. His path converges with Wah's when he is drawn into a high-stakes game of wits and wills—a 72-hour chess match that pushes both men to their limits. Wah, now having nothing to lose, successfully pulls off a daring robbery, propelling Inspector Ho to pursue him relentlessly. The chase becomes a personal mission for Ho, who is determined to outsmart and apprehend Wah, while also grappling with the ticking clock and the moral dilemmas that come with it. However, in this perilous game where the stakes are life and death, there can only be one victor. Will it be the determined inspector or the fearless man with a vengeance? Running Out of Time is a gripping exploration of courage, retribution, and the extraordinary measures one might take when time is running out.
